Love Letters...

Have you ever wanted to tell someone how you feel but you haven't had the chance for one reason or another?
Have you lost someone special and didn't get to tell them how you feel?
Have you lost touch with someone and have no idea how to let them know they are on your mind?
Do you have an unrequited love that you want to share your inner desires with?
Then, I may just have the solution....

A Letter...

My lovely, lovely girl,

I have no words to explain the pain I feel in my heart.

The sadness fell like a lead blanket

Hot tears score lines on my face

I am so sorry I can't be with you.

My arms want to hold you and hug it all away.

The distance makes me feel more helpless.

There is nothing I wouldn't do for you.

Please know that I love you and think of you every day.

My lovely, lovely girl

Reasons To Be Cheerful!

Reasons to be Cheerful
Wow! I haven't joined in with this wonderful linky in so long it is hosted by someone else now! This week it is being hosted by the brilliant Lakes Single Mum before heading back to the lovely Jo at Ojos World.

Self Care - An Ongoing Commitment

I realise that I have to take a bit more care of myself with the arrival of bump later in the year but surely daily self care it is something that we should all strive towards. After my stay at the Mamas Retreat I felt it was something that I really should start putting into practice and on a regular basis. So here are the things I want or have already started to do for myself.

Mamas Retreat

I have been meaning to write this post for so long as I wanted to share the amazing 24 hours I had with other fabulous, escaping Mums on this wonderful retreat. Held in Cornwall, we had the run of this wonderful house at Prussia Cove

We honestly couldn't have asked for a more stunning location. I think the view took everyones breath away as they arrived and were continually wowed during the stay. Heavenly, is the best word I can use to describe it.

The Theme Game - Animals

The Reading Residence

I love reading through the posts in the Theme Game. The different perspectives people have of the same thing are just brilliant. This week Redpeffer is hosting so nip over and have a look at the other great entries.

Morning Sickness..

OH MY GOD!  I can honestly say I have NEVER felt like this before. I've had three boys and apart from the odd smell that used to turn my stomach, I didn't have any sickness during my pregnancies with them at all. This is a whole new kettle of fish. I have never in my life felt so utterly wretched! I am not exaggerating. WRETCHED...

The Big Reveal...

I feel like the time is right to share our latest news. I have been putting it off for a while as I really haven't felt up to it at all but today feels different somehow. Today, for the first time in ages I am feeling more positive. More able to cope with all that is coming our way. So, what is our news...?

Teenage Kicks vs Parental Fits

For anyone who is or has parented teenagers I'm sure the heading says it all. My eldest son is 14. While I am lucky that he will still voluntarily talk to me, occasionally be seen out in public with me and helps around the house, it is still a really tough job being his Mum.

Sleep Training - Taking a Break

From Google Images

As I mentioned in my last post about sleep training, Squish has been complaining of pains in his legs at night which is disturbing his sleep and is very painful for him. With this in mind we have put a halt on his sleep training until we have got to the bottom of his achy legs.

What's The Story? Big

I am linking up with the lovely PODcast blog to share my photo this week. I think this is a wonderful idea for a linky and I have so many photos I would love to share. The hardest thing will be choosing which one to share!

A Week of Sleep Training

We have been trying to retrain Squish to sleep in his bed, in his room, without us for a whole week now. Initially things started off really well and on night three he slept through the whole night without waking - beautiful! I knew we would have a few more rough nights but I thought we were definitely on the home straight. Boy, how wrong was I?!

Sleep Training - Night Five

Last night was a fantastically epic fail. For a start I very stupidly went to bed late when I was already tired. Squish came in at some point, about 2am I think. In my semi conscious state I somehow let him get into bed. Ooops....

Lovin' Bloglovin!

I'm sure I'm late to the party on this one but I have just discovered the wonderous creation that is  Bloglovin. I was having a chat with my lovely friend and fellow blogger Hannah. She was saying she had 200 posts to catch up on. I asked how on earth she kept up with them all and she told me about Bloglovin.

Sleep Training - Night Four

My eyes are sore and watery this morning. I'm sure you can guess from that it wasn't such a great night with Squish. I was half expecting that though as night three was so good. Even though I was partly expecting it I found it much harder to get up quickly that I have done previously.

Sleep Training - Night Three

I struggled to make it through the day yesterday, I was so tired. I really hoped that I would manage to get some golden shut eye to feel hippy and refreshed for the new day...

Siblings

dear beautiful
I noticed this little badge today so clicked to find out what it was all about.
I landed on lovely Lucys blog, Dear Beautiful.
Taking a photo of those special moments our siblings share and linking up on the Beautiful blog.

Sleep Training - Night Two

Oh, it's early! Today started at 6am. I don't normally mind that if I have a full nights sleep before hand. I can be up and ready to go with the boys. Not today though. Today I'm shattered.

Sleep Training - The First Night

We decided that the time has come to change our sleeping habits. As a family, we are settled in our new house and things are ticking along quite nicely. Our current habits have developed from the need to settle the boys any way possible and keep them sleeping happily through the night. There have been a lot of changes over the last 8 months and we wanted to comfort the boys as much as possible which has led us to where we are.

Our Big Sleep Out for Julian House

The day finally arrived and I met my lovely friend Hannah from the train station. This meet up was special as it was the first time Hannah had met my family and I couldn't wait. It didn't take long before they were getting along famously and the boys were playing like they had known her for years! Before long it was time to get our things together to head off for Alice Park in Bath.

Orange vs Green

Ummm......

Howdy Y'all!

Hey! Sorry about the lack of posts so far this year, the time is seriously flying by. I can't believe we are in March already, it's craazy!! I have been spending some constructive time in the "real" world. Man.. it's quite intense without an outlet for everything. So, I have returned to fold. I have missed all your wonderful blogs and my buddies. It is going to take me several posts to get you all up to speed though I think, so please bear with me. I have decided to set aside some blogging time each week otherwise I shall just get whisked away on the merry go round of life again.
