I read a tweet on Twitter yesterday that said "I do more cleaning 10 minutes before people come round than I do all week." It made me chuckle as it conjured the image of a lady dashing madly round the house flinging things into the nearest drawer or cupboard. We had a lovely day today, me and the boys. As the temperature has dropped a bit today we piled in the car and headed off to the woods for a wander with the dog.

My New Favourite Way to Lose Several Hours...
Pure genius and I love it. I have been writing about super blogs I have found in the hope more people become aware of them and their fabulousness. Now there is a much more effective way of reaching even more people. Along with the chance of discovering some new wonderful blogs and well written posts.

A Month of Me... Day 24
I have just noticed I didn't post a photo for yesterday! *slaps wrist* I shall see where it is on my trusty old laptop. The poor thing is getting bogged down with all my photos so I will have to chuck them all in the external hard drive soon before it pops!

Wow only 6 more days to go before I have done a whole month of me. I heard the sigh of relief! I have found it quite a challenge taking a photo that someone else would want to look at whilst also trying to capture the essence of the moment. I might put them all together at the end and see how many are "I'm knackered today" photos, ha ha! I'm guessing at least 5 (without looking).

I have been a little behind on my blogging lately and not posting every day. I love blogging but I also love spending time with my family. It would seem that balance has shifted slightly of late and spending time with the family is winning. Long may it continue! I see it that I no longer need the outlet as much at the moment and can cope with being in the "Real" world for longer periods now which has to be a good thing!

Eccentric or a Little Unwell?
I started taking my antidepressants nearly four months ago now and they have helped me no end. I feel a lot more confident in handling the boys. I'm not terrified of being left on my own with them. I don't lose my rag and shout on an hourly basis anymore. I can have a conversation about something other than how shit I feel, in fact, I can have a conversation that isn't about me at all! I thought I was zipping along Recovery Road quite well until my husband stopped me dead the other day.

After my second hair cutting attempt, I thought I would be sporting a hat for the foreseeable future. This morning after a bit of a tidy up and a wash, I feel quite happy about leaving the house hatless, for today anyway!

Bake - A - Rama!
Now, as I'm sure you may have gathered I am not a culinary genius of any sort. This post is about to illustrate the fact beautifully! The reason why I am posting this baking disaster is because it is such a bloody marvelous idea and I love it. An August Summer Swap
I recently took part in a mug swap. I had never done one before but really love receiving "real" post, so I jumped at the chance! It is such a great idea and pretty straight forward too. I did my swap with Hannah the Cupcake Mumma. She loved it too and suggested doing one. I said we could do it alternate months with different themes and here we are...

I was asked, by the lovely Hannah the Cupcake Mumma, if I would be interested in doing a mug swap. What a great idea AND with REAL post = perfect!! Hannah saw the idea on the blog Me, He and Them. Obviously, I jumped at the chance and started thinking of what sort of mug I could find.

My Amazing Day Out!
Saturday 7th July I had a day out, with my friend Hils and no one else. No hubby, no kids, no one and it was GREAT! We went to the Healing Weekend held at Secret World Animal Rescue. As one of my 101 things to do I decided to take a photo of myself every day for a month. I have no idea why, I think I was running out of ideas by this point and saw it on someone elses list!
